Public Preview update v1.0.1 - Small QoL improvements and bugfixes
One Rotten Oath » Devlog
Hey guys!
It's time for the first, small update of the Public Preview. After receiving some feedback from players, I decided to implement and fix a few things to hopefully make the experience a little better:
QoL improvements:
- Added a tutorial that warns the players about the mutants coming out of the treeline.
- Weapons can now be reloaded by pressing the R button on the keyboard.
- Extended subtitles time during FMV cutscenes.
- Slightly reduces loading times and lowered the game’s size by deleting unused test FMV files. It should be noticeable on lower end hardware.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed a critical bug where players would get softlocked on the red screen, if they died exactly at the 0 value of the stage timer. This in turn would make the script load up two scenes at the same time, thus breaking the game.
- Fixed FMV volume not adjusting properly to the Global Volume slider’s value in the settings menu.
There are still a few things to come, so stay tuned for more!
Have a good one!
PB
